Willow Oaks Plaque
Next time you're downtown, notice the two willow oaks at the municipal complex. They were grown from acorns of the famed Gorgas Oak that once stood at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The
Gorgas Oak
fell during a windstorm in 1982.
