Walkway by the River

Elephant ears catch a few rays of sunshine before the next thunderstorms roll in by the Alabama River.

I planted some elephant ears about 10 years ago and I think this is finally the last year for them. Those are very nice. Have fun with the rain.

Elephant ears are such lovely plants. Unfortunately, I've never been able to grow them myself!

That plant in your picture is a plant we can buy at the flower shop. My parents had one as wedding present, it's still alive after 45 years!

Love the elephant ears...we have a bunch in the yard but they really took a beating last winter -- coming back, but slowly...

This is a great shot...what with the brick and the wrought iron fence and the water beyond...one of my favorites!

I really like this shot! I need to come visit your town and see the river walkway. they are really working on our riverfront area. and--yes--those rain showers and storms just seem to be popping up every day!

Cewmont, the riverwalk hasn't been built yet, but this photo was taken on a walkway between the Bridge Tender's House and the St. James Hotel terrace next to Lafayette Park on Water Avenue. Hope you can make it to Selma sometime!.
