The School Board was Here

This building with a belfry once housed the Baker School, then served as headquarters for the Selma School Board. Its steep steps never made it very accessible, and now the school board has a new building on Broad Street.

I like the composition of this photo. The flowers soften the straight line of the building.

I suppose the steep steps were before ordinances were developed to prohibit such things in construction. It seems like a nice building otherwise.

Looks like a nice building though! What's in there now?

As a teacher, I think that was an appropriate place for a school board -- you know - bats in the belfry!

;-)

Nice shot! Great angle. Great colors!

I like the bright colors here too! Enjoying the phrase "bats in the belfry" from Jacob. Haven't heard that in a while!

I love those windows. I always wonder why they board some up. So, what's in the building now?
